Rib Recipe

Hi There

We seem to have a glut of pork ribs right now, so I'm looking to put them on this week's menu.  I'm looking for some new ways to prepare them.  We're tired of just bbq in the oven.  The ribs are cut in half, so on the barbeque doesn't work.

Any suggestions would be apreciated.

Re: Rib Recipe

Luv -I love my crockpot, but was hoping to find something other than bbq this time.

chukibabee -that sounds good. I looooove maple syrup (DH says I'd drink it if I could). Not sure DH would go for the applesauce. Think I'll file that one away for when I have company over and he has to eat what I cook  :)

Re: Rib Recipe

Heard this on the radio this morning coming in to work (a local station in small town where they wish locals a happy birthday, help find lost pets, advertise events at local churches, and give a recipe of the day. A friendly local station).  Sounds good even though I don't like maple syrup. Of course I didn't write down the recipe since I was driving but in essence it was

Country Style Ribs (parboiled)

1 cup Maple Syrup

1 cup Applesauce

seasonings (salt, pepper, paprika, maybe others too)

pour over ribs and cook in oven.

Re: Rib Recipe

Do you have a crockpot?  A doctor I used to work with had a simple recipe for making them in the crockpot.  I believe it was red current jam and barbeque sauce mixed together and poured over them.
