The Amish generally prohibit photos taken of themselves. These concerns have deep roots in Biblical passages that decry the "graven image." Out of respect for Elizabeth's family and Amish photographic prohibitions, there  are no "people photographs" of the Amish featured here. This section, however, does provide a rare glimpse of the furnishings and sparse setting of an authentic Amish home and farm. New photos are added periodically.
