The Amish Cook from Oasis Newsfeatures

???

Um...Okay, I am not even sure what Herald de Paris is (means "newspaper of Paris" in French, but I've never heard of this publication).  Whatever this publication is, they ran a "light humor" piece today featuring "Amish pick-up lines."  Now I've talked recently about how my sense of humor is a bit...narrow....but, sheesh...I mean I am not a prude or hyper-sensitive to the Amish....I didn't necessarily find the "pick-up lines" disrespectful, but just stupid....Click here to see the pick-up lines.  Is anyone guffawing at these?  Am I, again the lone humorless person here?

Re: ???

PU not worth the ink and paper they were printed on. And they paid someone for that ???????

Re: ???

Kevin, I agree with you, not only are they not funny, they are down right boring, and childish, I hate it that a lot of people think the amish are not really people, cripes, under the clothes they are the same as the rest of us, they just live a better life, simpler, happier, more respectful, it's funny how much ignorance there is out there about the amish......

Re: ???

I glanced at a few of them - my first thoughts were Not Funny and In Poor Taste!

Re: ???

kevin..i just went back and re-read this article. this is the most outlandish form of journalism that i have EVER seen in a long time. someone had too much time on their hands. i admire the amish and what they stand for...peace and living a good, simple life...something we could ALL benefit from.
