Golden Mushroom Soup Dinner - very easy and delicious!

Hamburgers cooked ( from lean ground chhuck) after you fry the hamburgers, drain - I rinse them off wwith  hot water-) then put back onto stove. Slice up a sweet onioin into rings, ( I use two onions -I love them on the hamburgers) and layer over the hamburgers. Open 1 can of Golden Mushroom Soup and mix with 1 can water. Pour this over the layered hamburges, cover and let simmer until onions are sauteed. (about 15 min. or so).

At the same time you put the  hamburgers on to fry, put potaotes on for cooking, which you will make into mashed potaoes for your side ( if you use evaporated milk, or mix half milk and half evaporated milk for your mashed potatoes, they will not be as 'waxy' - and your mashed potatoes will have a richer flavor.)

After the hamburger and soup have simmered, put your mashed potatoes and hamburger on your plate, and spoon a good helping of the soup/onions over the hamburges, and enjoy your hearty meal.  Sometimes I add a vegetable, or a salad.

Makes for a quick and easy meal! Even the kids love it!

Re: receipe

An article requested recipes using venison. My mother fries small pieces of deer steak dipped in egg then rolled in crushed Wheaties cereral. She seasons, then fries the pieces until golden brown. This was a family favorite and as children we loved eating deer meat this way. It has to be Wheaties, other cereal varieties do not give it the same flavor.
.... I enjoy your articles that I read in the paper, thank you.
