Buttermilk cookies..

I was babysitting my 2 1/2 yr old grandson this morning and we made the buttermilk cookies. I used lard because I recently rendered some. Jethro said,"They're DEELICIOUS" ( He really emphasized the "E" sound!). I have to agree, for a rather plain sounding recipe,they ARE good! If, however, you don't have a bunch of cookie monsters like me I would suggest cutting the recipe in half. It makes a whole lot. I think that they would freeze well, though.P.S. they're great with coffee!!
