Finally....

I hesitate to post any photos of me after all the weight I've gained while finishing the "baking book", but I had not seen The Amish Cook at Home in a single bookstore (except where we have done book-signings).  It's absence from shelves has been a bit frustrating at times, but, finally, Rachel and I spied The Amish Cook at Home in a Barnes & Noble in Centerville, Ohio over the weekend.  Rachel captured the moment on film (and I put the book in a more visible spot on the shelf!)

Re: Finally....

I haven't been to a book store but I did see the book reviewed in Crafts 'n Things which also had the recipe for sourdough cinnamon rolls.  This issue was delivered just the other day.

Re: Finally....

Oh, cool, thank you!  I knew it was going to be featured in Crafts N Things...I was told the April issue, but often those come out months in advance....I'll have to buy a copy!

Re: Finally....

the cookbook is at our waldens, and my mom's borders store about an hour south of here in watertown, ny. it is also available at the bookstore for my son's college, clarkson university in potsdam....

Re: Finally....

The Amish Cook at Home cookbook was at Sams Club in Beavercreek, OH recently. A huge display. Very impressive.

Re: Finally....

Wow, Nancy, thank you for that valuable 411, do you know approximately when that was?  That is really awesome, and not far from where I live, so I would have liked to have gone in and see that...exciting to hear that...Thanks again!

Re: Finally....

Hey!  "Saving Dinner" is on that shelf, too!  I also have that one.  A useful book, for sure, but not nearly as interesting and beautiful as "The Amish Cook at Home."

Re: Finally....

I ordered my copy of "The Amish Cook at Home" from Amazon and I love it !  I've made several recipes from it and they have been delicious.  I did see it though over the weekend at a Borders in St. Louis - front and center on the shelf - the beautiful cover facing out - great exposure !

Re: Finally....

Allison, awesome, thank you for sharing - anyone else  have any other "sightings" to report?

"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift... that's why they call it the present."

Kevin, maybe that's a GOOD thing... it might just mean that they are all sold out!

Re: Finally....

I have seen The Amish Cook at Home at my local (Cedar Rapids, IA) Barnes and Noble when I've been there.  :)  My husband bought it for me online, and I've recommended it to everyone I know.

Re: Finally....

Thank you, Emily, great feedback! Glad to know that someone has seen it somewhere!
