Presidential Poll

I put up a poll back in May about the Presidential race but a technical glitch forced me to take it down after only a few days.  I had one person accuse me of taking it down because Senator McCain was in the lead and this person thought I probably favored Obama.  I'm not going to say who I favor. I only had to remove the poll because of a glitch. I just think it's fun to take a "Presidential pulse" to see how such a cross-section of people are thinking.   I think it would be fun to do one more at the very end of October and see how closely our site visitors match the actual result in November.  Frankly, I'll just be glad when it's all over with, I'm sick of all the ads, talking heads, etc.   If there is any discussion of the political race on this site, please keep it polite and civil!  It's less important who you vote for and more important that you just vote and participate in the process....(By the way, your votes are completely anonymous...I can't even see who votes for what).  Stay tuned, tomorrow I'll get back to Amish topics by posting some photos from my recent visit to Lovina's house.

Re: Presidential Poll

I'm still holding out for who the running mates will be, got a feeling that this will be the deciding factor for a lot of people.

Re: Presidential Poll

Re: Presidential Poll

As much as RP leaned toward my way of thinking, his presidenecy would have been one of complete turmoil, if he even made it that far - very shady things happen to people that rock the boat in politics

Re: Presidential Poll

You should meet my son, he loves Ron Paul and was mad when he was no longer in the raceCry

Re: Presidential Poll

Now, now, no shilling for specific candidates hereSmile. Although, for the record, the candidate on the Libertarian ticket is Bob Barr and he does have a chance of siphoning off crucial McCain votes in states like Georgia where he is well-known.....

Re: Presidential Poll

The sad part is that Ron Paul diehards are still wearing his campaign button. I definitely would have voted for him. susan

I won't vote for either one of them in November.

"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift... that's why they call it the present."

I still don't know what to think, and I also may not vote for that very reason.  But with all ethics/morality/politics aside... if I were a betting person, I just don't see how Obama can lose.  He has the charisma and the star-power, and it just doesn't seem that McCain (or anyone else, for that matter) has much of a shot.

I, myself and me, being how I am, and what I believe cannot and will not vote for either one of them, should they make it to November ballot...
