Column Note

This week's Amish Cook column will be guest-written by Lovina's soon-to-be 14-year-old daughter, Elizabeth.  Elizabeth is a very bright girl and is an extremely good writer.  In fact, last year when Elizabeth guest wrote I had a few idiots write me accusatory emails that there was "no way that column was written by a 12-year-old."  Well, "way" was all I could say. It was and I'm sure tomorrow's column will be equally polished, if not more so with an extra year of education and maturity behind the pen.  Elizabeth's column are special because she represents the third generation of "Amish Cook" writers. Amazing. Makes me feel old!!  Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Re: Column Note

Elizabeth did a wonderful job writing the column this week.  :)

Kevin, you should let her write more if it's okay with Lovina :)

Re: Column Note

My oldest was still in high school when Elizabeth wrote those first columns. My daughter was very impressed with young Elizabeth's writings.  My younger children are benefitting from the Rod & Staff English curriculum we are using, that we didn't know about for our oldest. I am guessing that Elizabeth just does alot of writing & reading in her free time.  I look forward to reading her thoughts this week!

Re: Column Note

I'm looking forward to reading the column that is being guest-written by Lovina's daughter Elizabeth.

In the past when Elizabeth did write a column,it was very interesting.  You could tell that a lot of thought went into it.  I remenber last year when Elizabeth wrote about school, and her teachers.
