You Can Lead a Horse To Water......

The city of Wooster, Ohio is located near a large Amish population, which means dozens of horse-drawn buggies clattering into town.  And on warm summer days, those horses really need to be hydrated.  I've seen simple solutions to this in various locales.   Berne, Indiana has a pretty subtle drainage ditch running behind the McDonalds and the grocery store where Amish customers can hitch their horses within drinking distance.  The Amish can also water their horses down from the ditch with buckets.   Wooster's Amish  had been out of luck since a watering hole closed its facuet earlier this year, but that problem has now apparently been remedied.  Click here to read.

Good for Wooster!  We go to Holmes and the surrounding counties  several times a year, and stop in Wooster to either eat or shop at the Rubbermaid store.
