Came across The Amish Baking Book totally by accident at the library

I was at the library with 2 of my 3 boys last month and came across the Amish Baking Book totally by accident and boy am I glad I did!!! I have fallen in love this book and now want to go and buy more of them. And now Ive ended up here after seeing link on the book cover, delighted to find this site too. So far Ive made the homemade bread, pie dough, from which we had pecan pie and apple pie and I have enough for one more pie in the freezer. I made choc chip oatmeal brownies and tonight I made Ranger cookies, all delicious. Really cant wait to try out more recipes.

Hi editorkevin!! Thanks. I'm in Ireland, so cant read column in newspapers unfortunately, but I'm so happy to find this site and now I will be able to keep up to date online and also try out even more recipes. I was totally intrigued by the whole book and looked though it over and over again. It was such a coincidence that while I had the book and was really enjoying it, at the same time there was a documentary showing for a few weeks about some teenage Amish kids who were on Rumspringa and traveled to England for a few weeks to experience different ways of life. It was really interesting, so between that and the the Amish cook book I learnt loads about the Amish way of life.
