RECIPE of the WEEK

The following is a favorite among the Coblentzes and the Amish. It's often served as the Christmas holidays approach.

HOLIDAY BREAD PUDDING

4 cups of bread cubes
1 quart of hot milk
3 tablespoons of butter
4 separated eggs
dash of salt
one cup of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla

After the milk has been boiled, combine it with bread cubes and butter. Then allow it to stand for 10 minutes. Beat egg yolks and salt until light. Add sugar and vanilla, beat until lemon-colored. Add bread mixture. Pour into greased 2 quart baking dish and bake at 350 for 50 minutes.
