HOMEMADE CARAMEL CORN

2 cups brown sugar
2 sticks of oleo
popped popcorn
_ cup light or dark corn syrup
1 teaspoon of baking soda

Mix and cook for 3-4 minutes on a high burner, stirring constantly. Remove from burner and add baking soda. Stir well, but quickly, until baking soda is blended in - about 2 more minutes. Pour over popped corn. Mix very well. This will coat 2 gallons of popped corn.
