June 2000

GARDEN RHUBARB BREAD

1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2/3 cup of oil
1 egg
1 cup sour milk
2 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cup fresh, diced rhubarb

GLAZE :1/2 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon butter, 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Mix bread ingredients in order given. Pour into two greased loaf pans and bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Brush on glaze and let cool. Delicious!
