PINWHEEL COOKIES

1/2 cup butter or lard
1 1/2 cups flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

Divide dough into two parts. To one part, add 1 _ teaspoons cocoa. Into the other part, add _ teaspoon vanilla and roll white dough in a thin rectangular sheet. Then roll cocoa mixture the same. Place the white dough on the cocoa dough and press together. Roll as for a jelly roll, a tight roll, 2 inches in diameter. Set in the ice box or chill overnight. In the morning, cut in _ inch slices and arrange flat in cookie sheet at bake at 350.
