I’ve said before that it always sort of amuses me when The New York Times decides to do an Amish story. They love doing Amish-themed stories, but they often come to them long after we’ve already dissected and discussed every aspect of the story. Such is the case with the so-called “Amish Bernie Madoff.” That said, the New York Times did do an outstanding article this morning showcasing the deeply-rooted Amish principles of forgiveness. These principles were on display after the Amish shooting and they are on display now in the wake of the Monroe Beachy scandal. Very admirable. Click here to read the NYT piece.
