I’ve said before that it always sort of amuses me when The New York Times decides to do an Amish story.  They love doing Amish-themed stories, but they often come to them long after we’ve already dissected and discussed every aspect of the story.  Such is the case with the so-called “Amish Bernie Madoff.”  That said, the New York Times did do an outstanding article this morning showcasing the deeply-rooted Amish principles of forgiveness.  These principles were on display after the Amish shooting and they are on display now in the wake of the  Monroe Beachy scandal.
