Well, here in southeastern PA we have about 2 feet of snow and it's still coming down. My two little guys decided to go out and play. The drifts were up to their heads in areas and the winds are whipping. They only lasted about 30 minutes and I made them come in. They've already called off church services for tomorrow. We were supposed to deliver soup to a retirement community tomorrow for "souper"bowl Sunday. I don't know if we'll get to do that or not.
Has anyone else received a ton of snow???

Re: SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!
My BIL, who lives in Myrtle Beach, SC sent pics of snow there this AM!! What crazy weather this world is experiencing!
Re: SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!
I'm from middle area of NC, near the SC border, we got about 3 inches last night. It is melting fast with the sun out now. My Mom who lives on the NC coast got about 5.5 inches last night. She is staying in and keeping warm!!!!
Re: SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!
Well, we are supposed to get about another 12" on Tues/Wed. of this week. The kids have no school today because of the icy roads. I guess they won't be having much school at all this week.
I need to get out today and get some more milk and my kids want to get a gift for their dad's birthday (which is tomorrow). We usually have these blizzard conditions on my birthday, which is Thursday, but I guess I'll be spared this year! :o)
Well, be safe out there everyone!
Re: SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!
Well, the latest report tonight says that we are getting even more than expected. We're getting another 1-2 feet of snow!!! My kids are going to get lost in it if we get any more! This is just crazy.
Re: SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!
We recieved another 3 inches of snow here in southwest kansas . Most of the snow we had previously had melted. We are lucky that we didn't get as much as some that have posted. Stay warm.
Re: SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!
Here in NW PA, we got about an inch
! I was hoping for the deep stuff..I love snow!! There's another storm coming this week,so maybe we'll get some of that.
Re: SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!
From the looks of the projected path on the weather channel, you might just get your wish, Bqrb. I love it too (when I have enought "stuff" to get by and don't have to go anywhere). The one coming this week is supposed to miss us in Western KY.
I would pray for snow and do the "snow dance" when I was working at school. I just wanted it to come during the night and not start while we were at school as I had about a two hour bus route I had to run after school. Now, all I want is to know it is coming and be able to get the needed groceries, fuel for the generator, and feed in the shed for the animals and I can sit back and enjoy.

Re: SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!
Karen, I'll be hoping! I agree with you about supplies, feed and fuel. We try to always have things on hand and ready. I also understand the bus routes..my oldest son has been driving busses for 10 yrs.. first school busses, then motor coach, and he now manages the Williamsport,PA school busses. It is a large district, about 120 busses. He also has 2 smaller districts under his supervision. He has grown to dislike winter weather! He does enjoy skiing and snowmobiling, tho'!! I just like to either play with the grandkids or take a walk on a snowy night.
Re: SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!
We only got about 3 inches here in central PA. That's enough for me.
Re: SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!
My SIL in Maryland keeps updating me with photos. The last one, about an hour ago, showed 22", and still coming down! WOW! They can have it! Not all that much in my area (Dayton/Fairborn.) About the same as Kevin's area.
Re: SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!
SIGH, I am so envious...just about 8" here...piddly compared to your two feet
Re: SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!
Kevin,
We ended up getting another 24" of snow on top of the 28" we got on Saturday. Sometime during the night it changed over to some sleet then back to snow. That made using the snowblower very difficult. It took me two days just to get the mailbox dug out. We've only had mail delivery one day this week and that was on Tuesday.
Hopefully this will all melt BEFORE spring arrives!
Re: SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!
SIGH...I'm too envious to comment.....
Re: SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!
You'll be happy to know we are expecting another 4-8" on Monday night.
