With this being my first time trying chicken noodle soup, I was pleasantly surprised. When you are used to getting a lot of broth and maybe one little piece of chicken, mine turned out quite thick. The taste is out of this world. I am thinking that I needed to add more water and wait until the vegatables are cooked before putting the chicken back in, and maybe not so many noodles. But what the heck it was fun, taste great and hubby liked it so that is all that matters.

Re: Chicken Noodle Soup
When I make a recipe for the first time I follow it to a tee, then I know what if anything to change for me. Right know we are enjoying Chicken Stew,
I will do it a little different next time being careful not to lost the great taste.
Re: Chicken Noodle Soup
I made this New Year's Day and it was very good. I thought it was a little strong in celery but I don't usually use that much. I'll make it again but just a little different.
Re: Chicken Noodle Soup
If you cooked your noodles in the soup that may be why it was thick. I cook mine separately then add them to the broth.
Re: Chicken Noodle Soup
Looks yummy! I love chicken noodle soup fixed any way. This is another "comfort" food that reminds me of my grandma!

Re: Chicken Noodle Soup
Looks yummy! I found that if I use less noodles there will be more broth. Also, if I'm planning on freezing any, I put the noodles in when I pull it out of the freezer....they don't get so mushy that way.
Re: Chicken Noodle Soup
i always cook the noodles after the veggies since they don't take as long as the vegatables...i use chicken broth instead of water...omg...is it good!!!
