I have been curious about this. How do Amish and other sects that don't have electricity use CPAP or asthma nebuliser if prescribed by their doctor?

My experience is that it is an individual decision with consultation with elders in the community. Everyone's definition of necessity is different. That said, families who make the choice will often use an electric generator set-up exclusively for the medical equipment.
