Random Scenes From Holmes County, Ohio

I thought I’d just share some random scenes from a recent romp through Holmes County, Ohio.  My favorite thing to do when visiting there is just to slowly cruise the backroads far from the tourist haunts, where you’ll be rewarded with bucolic scenes of laundry on the line, buggies gently clattering down the road, and sawmills buzzing away the day.  This Amish man was patiently waiting for the fall tourist traffic to ease just enough so he could pedal cross the street.

And this was a slightly blurry picture of a buggy and two bikes passing. If you look closely the kid in the back of the buggy is sound asleep.  And take a look at another gorgeous Holmes County Amish home, this one down near the border with Coshocton County. Definitely some beautiful digs!
