Well reaching back a few years into my memory - teenage years, helping to make divinity for our church members to sell to help pay the church bills - we used egg whites, evaporated milk & no chocolate.  I personally don't really care for either fudge or divinity, so probably won't taste this either, but might just try it at Christmas next year.
