Re: ISO Apricot Recipes
I remember the preserves as a child, visiting my farm relatives. Knowing them, it probably contained lots of sugar, but I know little else-----except that they were in the chicken yard, so the trick was to get the apricots when ripe enough, before they fell. Once fallen, they belonged to the chickens. Anyway, it was a good place for the trees, which were productive for decades. I would think you could make a fruit preserve/jam out of any reliable recipe, plus the fruit. Some use sure-jell for thickening. But those wonderful cookstove preserves I remember did not have any additives, that I remember. ~CS~
