Re: Bizarre Amish Custody Case Drags On

This story has to have more to it. This woman had a sexual liasion with a man outside of marriage which is absolutely verboten in the Amish faith as it is for any Christian. It does not matter whether she knew he was married or not, the point is that he was not her husband. The Bible states that sexual relationships are for the married alone, and all else is considered fornication. Now given this, either this woman was not a baptised member of the Amish church when it occurred or she has since made a confession of her sin before the congregation and asked forgiveness.  Where was she when she was pregnant with the child? Didn't she realize that there would be repercussions? Yes, it would be nice if the biological father would go away, but it looks like in this case that is not happening. She has to face the consequences and work something out with the child's father. Susan
