Re: It's Official $4.00 a gal.

Well, we just are back from our around the country road trip.  We only paid over $4 a gal. once and I think it was near Chicago.  On the 21st we paid $3.57 at the Costco in Louisville.  I didn't do an actual average per gallon, but I would guess it to be around $3.88.

I must say though that timing is everything and God is so good, just a week after returning that is when prices really jumped, and round here is is well over $4.00 a gallon.  Our 6500 mile trip cost about $1800 just in gasoline, it definately was our biggest expense.

We did visit the southwestern Michigan village of Three Oaks (we are big Prancer fans!) We didn't buy gas there though!
