For me, this is one of the last “plain frontiers”: Mennonites in Mexico. I would love to visit some of the plain communities south of the border, where some 80,000 conservative Mennonites live. Someday, God willing, I will go and I’ll share the sights and sounds with you. In the meantime, we’ll enjoy the observations of others. Jose Luis Gonzales recently. Back in January I posted about a book called Las Mujeres Flores by photographer Eunice Adorno. While I find her photos generally puzzling and lacking context, I love Gonzales’s work. It’s respectful and rich. Take a look at this photo of Mennonites leaving church in Mexico.
