Thanks for sharing this information. I found it very informative as I have been researching a lot lately on practical matters such as you talk about...

Okay, Misty, I hope this is it and isn't too late for you....The poultry seasoning is missing...I just can't seem to find that clue in any of Lovina's past columns. This is her main stuffing recipe and it sounds otherwise like what you were seeking..I hope this is it:
Plain Stuffing
1 /4 cup butter
1 /4 cup chopped onion
1 /2 cup chopped celery
3 cups dry bread cubes
1 / 4 cup chicken broth
1 /2 teaspoon ground sage
1 /2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 /2 teaspoon salt
1/ 4 teaspoon black pepper
In a skillet, melt butter and sauté onion until tender. Add celery and sauté until softened. Stir in bread cubes, chicken broth, sage, garlic salt, salt and pepper; mix well.

Misty, I'm sure I can dig it up for you...there are, however, several stuffing recipes that have been included in The Amish Cook column over the years..can you give me an ingredient or two that was in it? That'll help me find it for you! - kevin

Re: Stuffing recipe
Hi Kevin,
I know it went something like this.
bread
poultry seasoning
chicken broth
celery
onions
I can't remember the amounts or if it had eggs in it. It was just a simple bread stuffing recipe but my family loves it. I appreciate your help.
Thanks so much,
Misty
