INGREDIENTS:
Pork chops--I use boneless loin chops myself
1 small onion, chopped fine
2 cloves of garlic, minced
Poultry seaoning
Garlic Powder
Lemon pepper
Chinese Five-spice powder
1/4-1/2 cup hard cider
2 T olive oil
Salt & pepper to taste
1.5T butter
1.5T flour
Saute chopped onions in olive oil in a large skillet, til mostly done, then add the garlic. When garlic is soft, remove both to a bowl.
Sprinkle pork chops with garlic powder, lemon pepper, poultry seasoning and a LITTLE chinese five-spice powder. Saute in the remaining olive oil. While the first side is cooking, sprinkle the other side of the chops with the same mixture of seasonings.
When the chops are done, remove to a plate. Make a roux with the flour & butter. Add 1/4-1/2 cup water & 1/4-1/2 cup cider & cook until thickened. Toss the pork chops back in.
Serve with garlic mashed taters (and toss a dollop of sour cream in them for good measure) and English peas.
