Re: Jiffy Recipe Book

Well I'll take credit for twittering the order web page a dozen times and posting it once  or twice on facebook and starting this forum post, but the actual first mention of how to order the book was from LuvMaerz way back on July 3rd in Kevins Camping Recipes post...

Re: Jiffy Recipe Book

You are such a gentleman Wink

Re: Jiffy Recipe Book

Sorry Luv, I just saw Tom's name and didn't go back and find out who did post it the first time on here.  THANK YOU , THANK YOU , THANK YOU!!!!  I stocked up on Jiffy mixes today...can't wait to try some of the recipes out.  Karen

Re: Jiffy Recipe Book

Just came back from the grocery to find my Jiffy recipe book waiting in my mail box. Too bad it couldn't have come BEFORE I went to the store! All I have on hand is the corn muffin mix. Did you get yours yet, Barb?

Re: Jiffy Recipe Book

Mine came in the mail today too...Thank you Tom for telling us about it.  I wonder what they thought when they got all of the requests....Can't wait to go shopping and then try some of them.  Karen

Re: Jiffy Recipe Book

YES!! It came today, and because I am a planner by nature, I already have the Jiffy mix!!! WHOO-HOO!!!

Re: Jiffy Recipe Book

My recipe book came today and I'm sooo excited.  Now if I only had some Jiffy Mix too.  Target and Walmart doesn't have it except for the corn muffins but I think Marsh does.  I'll have to check.  Thanks for telling us about it.

Re: Jiffy Recipe Book

Our Walmart has the Jiffy baking mix right next to the Bisquick.

Re: Jiffy Recipe Book

Wait until you get to the Microwave section which has those versions of the Main Dish recipes, only faster. Besides the "Spoon Bread Casserole" (p 43 or 57), may I suggest the "Tamale Bits"(p 48), the "Ruben Wedges" (p 54), and of course the camping section (p 60-64) which is great when the gkids come over and want to "cook". If you ever get a chance to tour the plant in Chelsea, take it. I don't think they charge for it, and it is great fun, especially if you aren't sure about how powdered goods are manufactured.

Re: Jiffy Recipe Book

Ooooh, I have always wanted to try the Tamale Bits!  Tamales are a definite weakness of mine :-)  And I would love to tour the plant sometime.  I always have Jiffy mixes and Jiffy baking mix on hand.  Great stuff.  I have been using this recipe book for at least 5 years or more.  Fabulous to have on hand anytime :-)

Re: Jiffy Recipe Book

yeah Luv, since it's just me most of the time it doesn't pay to have the big boxes of everything.

Re: Jiffy Recipe Book

Still waiting on mine to arrive. Maybe tomorrow...

Re: Jiffy Recipe Book

Woot!  It is a great recipe book to have!!  There is a recipe for these cheddar biscuits in there that are the spitting image of the fabulous "Cheddar Bay Biscuits" from Red Lobster.  Enjoy!!

Re: Jiffy Recipe Book

try buttermilk instead of the regular milk and you'll have a hard time telling the difference.Wink

Re: Jiffy Recipe Book

Got mine today, too! But no mix in the house either....

Re: Jiffy Recipe Book

Jealous here! I bought Jiffy mix the other day, but my book hasn't come yet. Maybe tomorrow..I think we all ordered at the same time.
