Another Aylmer Image

This is another wonderful image my wife captured as part of our Amish Cooks Across America project.  The book  by the same name comes out in May.  By the way, my name is listed first on the cover of the book because I wrote over 90 percent of it.  Lovina added a wonderful foreword and some reflections elsewhere, but she’s a bit busy to be traipsing to Maine and Montana:)   Doesn’t really matter who wrote the book, because it’s gorgeous with a multitude of wonderful recipes. But some people have expressed a little confusion, so as the cover of the book quite clearly says, I am the primary author:)   This photo was taken along a quiet country road outside of Aylmer, Ontario, one of Canada’s largest Amish settlements.  A couple of school-age children seem to get swallowed up by the snow as they make their way home. Only the Milverton community is larger.  In many ways, though, Aylmer is the best known because it is the home to the Amish publishing house, Pathway publishing.  If you haven’t already viewed it, click here to enjoy a brief video tour of the Aylmer settlement.
