FAMILY DAZE

In Debbie Farmer's world, mylar balloons are not to be trusted.  You know
what she means: those thick, helium-filled balloons in the shape of a
favorite cartoon character that you buy at a carnival.  They never die.  You
bring them home, and the pesky critters float after you around the house,
until you have no choice but to give up and adopt them.  Meanwhile, lost
socks don't merely disappear from the dryer; they're banding together and
plotting against you.  And let's not even get started on the evils of the
kitchen junk drawer.

Every imaginable whimsical nook and cranny of family life is explored in
Debbie Farmer's Family Daze, a column read in over 35 newspapers around the United States, from The Contra Costa Times, based in San Francisco to the Press Enterprise in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.  Meanwhile, Debbie has seen her work published in The Washington Post, Reader's Digest, FamilyFun magazine and over 150 regional parenting magazines associated with Parenting Publications of America.  And in November, be sure to check out Debbie's latest collection of columns, in her new book, Don't Put Lipstick on the Cat! (WindRiver Publishing)

Debbie lives in California with her husband and two young children.
